SERVPRO Floor Repair and Mold Remediation

When the homeowner contacted SERVPRO, they were worried about their lower-level water damage and mold growth. The floor had buckled and warped, and there was a strong, musty smell in the air. We sent a team to investigate and found extensive water damage. The lower level had flooded from a burst pipe, and the mold had started to grow in the moist environment.

To repair the floor and remove the mold, we used a combination of techniques. We first used a moisture meter to find the source of the water damage and fix the leak. Then used a floor saw to cut out the damaged flooring section and replaced it with new wood. Finally, we applied Borate and Methylated Silicone to kill all the living mold in the room. Our Dallas Mold Remediation crew used an industrial dehumidifier and squeegee vacuums to remove all moisture and mold spores from the floor before finishing it with a coat of sealant.

After we finished repairing the lower level, we tested for any remaining water damage or mold spores. The results came back negative, so the homeowner could rest assured that their home was now safe to live in.
